Theatre Georgian Bay (TGB) is proud to return to live theatre with their 2022 Bard on the Bay production: Romeo & Juliet.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Georgian Bay, William Shakespeare’s classic romance is presented outdoors at The Shipyards Ampitheatre in Collingwood.
The timeless tale of star-crossed lovers will be presented in a 90-minute, family-friendly format. TGB’s production is equally part-comic and tragic, and certain to capture the hearts of audiences throughout Collingwood and the broader Grey/Bruce and Simcoe County areas.
With its accessible Pay-What-You-Wish format, TGB’s annual Bard on the Bay production is the perfect outing for friends, families, and star-crossed lovers alike.
Audience members are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, cushions, blankets, and even a picnic to enjoy before the show.
Featuring local professional and community actors, TGB is an established, professional theatre company that seeks to bring relevant, thought-provoking, and affordable theatre to the Georgian Bay region.
Since the inaugural Bard on the Bay production, Theatre Georgian Bay has produced Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It, and A Comedy of Errors. The collective is ecstatic to be returning to the ampitheatre with Romeo & Juliet to reconnect with familiar audience members and welcome new ones alike!
